Curriculum committee members can review and vote to approve or deny proposals for new courses, course changes, and course deletions. If you are a committee member, click here to begin reviewing and voting on courses.
CAPA's browse function allows all involved in the curriculum approval process to see the status of any course or course change in the approval process without logging in.
CAPA is an automated system that allows faculty to input a course proposal and submit it to the next level in the approval process. Approval routing includes department, college, Graduate School, and University Curriculum Committee levels.
CAPA also provides the opportunity for courses to be submitted for consideration to meet the Experiential Learning (EL) Requirement and the UGA Institutional Competencies (IC).
Submitting courses for EL and IC supports the University-wide initiative, the Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR).
